Sir, —As regards "Fair Play's" letter of the 19th instant,. I think it would be interesting to know how he uses his benzine! Does he use it Tor business purposes only? No ! I'm sure some of it and quite a percentage is used for pleasure also. Docs he know whether the young people mix business and pleasure together? I won't say they always do, but in some cases they may. The car that left the WaimanaNukuhou district for Edgecumbe on the 27th of last month,, was out to a dance for the first time during the war. Is this so outrageous? One of the cars that attended a Waiotahi dance was also out of the district for the first time. The young people who attend Opotiki and Waiotahi Patriotic functions now and again (not very often) do not travel in the same cars every time; and as they can't get about in the daytime, is it a crime to have a little pleasure in the evenings? I think there arc a hundred and one other things that need lootking into before this case of ""Fair Play's." I hope "Fair Play" makes a good practice of what he preaches, before; lie thinks of writing such a small ! item to tlie Editor. This is not a good example from "Fair Play" of minding one's; own business as most people find out pays better, and is less to worry about, but, perhaps "Fair Play" has no other worries of his own. . etc., FAIRER PLAY.

(Letters from "Working Farmer" and "Action'" dealing with the question of the coal strike, are not permitted to be published. Ed.)
