PATRIOTIC SOCIAL
EDGECUMBE CARD EVENING
An enjoyable evening was spent by those who attended the Flag 500 card evening, held by the Edgecumbe branch of the Patriotic Society in Mr Bell's hall last Thursday night. The winners, with the most points, were Mrs F. Sumner, Mrs E. List, Mr Parkinson and Mr Hunt, and .Mr W. Hart collected, the travellers prize. A dainty supper was served by the ladies committee.
Amongst those present were: .Mx| and Mrs K. Marx, Mr and Mrs Black, Mr and Mrs V. Marx, Mr and Mrs List, Mr and Mrs A. C. Ranby, Mr and Mrs Shaw, Mr and Mrs Simpson, Mr and Mrs Hosltins, Mr and Mrs Bloxham, Mir and Mrs Clark, Mr and Mrs Spiers, Mr and Mrs Perkins,. Mesdames McLean, Cole, Learning, Burgess, Grey, Patience, T. Marx, Sumner, Magee, Fowcll, Hodson, Hawkins, Misses MeCrac, K. Brady, G., Ranby. Messrs D. Radcliffe, Hunt, M. and A. Magee, A. Marx, Hiush. Thompson, W. Hart, Parkinson, R. Ranby, Privates Powell and Johnston.
As a final to the evening Miss. Plaice and Mr Thompson supplied music for dancing.
