SOLDIERS HONOURED
LOCAL RESIDENTS GATHER / PRESENTATIONS MADE At a gathering of citizens last Friday evening, the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, presented a number of soldiers now on leave with the usual wallet and enclosure. Representatives of the R.S.A. and other town organisations were present. The men honoured were Messrs H. Joll, Ken Seholield, S. B. Carter, I. Stratten, Hills, J. Fisher, C. McKenzie, C. Walker and Harrij son. A further group of local men wiil be similarly honoured to-morrow evening in the Council Chambers. ■ j
