MUFTI ALLOWANCE

Considerable dissatisfaction was > H expressed at last week's meeting of I the Dominion executive committee ■ of the N.Z.R.S.A. at the refusal of -I the Government to accord equal -.1 treatment to all discharged service- .-fl men in the matter of multi allow- I ance. fl It was stated that since last April. ..H tlie committee had been pressing. H for a reason for the Government's ' -1 decision to draw a distinction in the -H matter of mufti allowances, payable H to home service men (£7 10s) and H that granted to mGpi who servcil overseas (£l2 10s). The Association further submit- "H led that the grant for the allowance H to home service men should be made retrospective to the date on wliicht mufti allowance was made available' to men who served overseas, instead of on lid at'taer April 1, 1942.'
