WORK OF THE AMBULANCE

IT is worthy of note that the Whakatane motor ambulance last week made two separate trips to Auckland with serious cases from this district. In each instance the service was available at a moments notice and, the trip was made with the maximum of comfort to the patient. People sometimes fail to appreciate the wonderful work which this vehicle has been quietly executing throughout the year. Within the last twelve months some sixty trips were made, all for the benefit of injured or seriously ill persons and the mileage for each trip averaged 54. A passing thought of appreciation for the splendid service now at the disposal of the public of Whakata,ne and district would not be out of place.
