Wood Wool for Packing The Government is to be urged by the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation to encourage the manufacture of wood wool, now used for wrapping and lining paper, in order to ensure adequate protection for fruit should paper supplies be unobtainable, and in order to conserve overseas funds. Supplies of Gum Boots A limited number of gum boots are arriving in the Dominion, but no more are likely to be obtainable until the end. of the Avar, according to information received by the Agricultural Department in the 1 South Island. The department will be responsible for distributing the boots on the advice of the National Council of Primary Production. Scattishi Scouts Camp Members of the Scottish Troop of Scouts - hiked over to Ohope last week-end. under Mr C. F. Thomas who has done so much towards the troop's inception. The boys camped in the Mission buildings and spent the day in excursions and practical field; work. On Sunday, a special service was held by Rev. H. Hogg in the Presbyterian Hall which was greatly appreciated. The Scouts marched back to town on Monday morning having thoroughly enjoyed, the outing.
