NURSES' WAGES RAISED

WAIKATO HOSPITAL BOARD'S DECISION The Waikato Hospital Board has decided to grant n cost of living bonus of £13 per annum to all. registered nurses, pupil nurses, partly trained nurses, and hospital aids in its employ. It was also agreed to pay the cost of living bonus to all other employees not on award rates of pay in accordance with, the order of the Court of Arbitration. The bonus will date from April 1 last. The chairman, Mr F. Find!ay, said many of the Board's employees had worked long hours without additional. reward, and nurses had often volunteered to do domestic work when other labour was not available.
