TRADE REFUSES COMPROMISE
ONE QUALITY—TWO SHADES
The Battle of Lipstick is flaring U|p. The Board yf Trade wants lipsticks, powder -and rouge sold in one quality and two shades only. Lipsticks Avouid be either light or dark red: powder only Rachel (deep cream) and Natural (pale) •pink), rouge would follow the tones of the lipsticks,. The Board of Trade says this Aviil snA~e labour and ensure that all cosmetics are maintained at the highest quality. Manufacturers say it will nut saw the labour of a dozen girls in all Britain and will not save raw nmterinls.
