Wanted Them All An unusual adoption case came before the Native Land Court at Hawera recently. A Maori woman aged 7fi years applied for the adoption of a family of seven children* The judge of the court, Mr R. PDykes, suggested tha't she might like to adopt perhaps only two oE the chiklrcn, but the Ma,ori was firm. She wanted the whole family ancl on her death they would succeed to her property and possessions ► Ttltl ; adoption was granted.
