Freemasons' Dress The time-honoured custom of Freemasonry, under which members oi lodges attended their meetings in conventional evening dress, may be suspended for the duration of the war. The reason is that members are liable to be eallcd away at any hour of. the evening for E.P.S. duties. The same change was made by lodges in Britain some time ago.
Value of Humour Though sponsoring a call to a more serious and austere way of life when the fate of the. nation was in the balance, the lit. llev. 11. S.> HoU land, Bishop of Wellington, stressed the need for humour when speaking in Wellington. "One man who can make a dozen others laugli is worth more than many sanctimonious prayers," he commented.
