MRS M. WILSON
The death occurred on Wednesday last of Mrs Marian Wilson, of Whakatane, at the age of 67 years; Born at Matata she was a daughter of Mr G. Greeke of the Heads and at an early age was adopted by her grand parents Mr and Mrs Wm* Greeke who were native school' teachers in this district at the time. Mrs Wilson lived first at Make to, then at Matata and later on the East Coast. She. returned to Whakatane as a young girl of 18 years and some years after married the late George Wilson. With her husband she opened the first store at Taneatua and then at Ruatoki where her son, Mr Tane' Wilson, carried on the business for many years.
She leaves a family ol' eight children Messrs -William, Tancatua, Nulci, Thomas, Dick and Chris tkid two daughters Zoe and Olga.
