THE RAINFALL
WHAKATANE RECORDS Rain fell on 10 days in Whakatane during the month of July when a total of 4.62 inches were recorded. Last year the same month showed 7.06 inches for 14 days. The total for the year to date is now 15.84 inches (the lowest 7 months on record) . The wettest July occurred in 1927 (10.17 inches) and the driest in 1922 (.44 inches).
