CATHOLIC DANCE

FUNCTION AT EDGECUMBE

The Edgecumbe Catholic dance held recently was a great success, there being some eighty couples attending. Music Avas supplied by the Gaiety Roys' orchestra while Mr Tom Bell made a capable M.C.

Competitions held during the evening were won as under: Cushion, Mrs P. Gillespie: dinner, Mr J. Rutherford.

Two novelty dances in the shape of Monte Carlos were won by Miss Bryers and Mr .T. Hernial 1, and Miss Caullield and Mr Ray Dawson. A Spot Waltz was won by Mrs Waugh and Mr L. O'Brien.

Supper was served bj- the ladies committee assisted by a willing band of helpers.
