Colonel Love. Not only his family and relatives but I Irs whole of the Maori people arc bereaved by his death. An honoured Chieftain and a great military leader has been lost to the race. In the midst of our sorrow we are proud to know that he justified his high appointment as evidenced by the further glorious achievements of the Maori Battalion under his leadership.
