FREAK FLOWER
MARIGOLD FROM AUCKLAND TO BE KEPT IN MUSEUM A most curious abnormality was discovered on a marigold plant in her garden by Miss F. "Walker, of Parnell, Auckland, a few days ago. An ordinary seed-head, from which the petals had fallen, had sprouted tinough its back six thin flowerstems eaclr bearing a single flower a little over an inch in diameter. The freak head has been accepted by the botanical department of Auckland University College for servation in its museum.
