The official figures ol' killings for the present season at the Dominion's Freezing Works from Ist October till June 27th, as issued by the Now Zealand Meat Producers Board, show that lamb killings to that date total 11,012,2:57 carcases, this being n decrease ol" 138,871* carcases compared with the killings to June 28th last season. Wether mutton killings are 7(51,72(5 carc*uses, and ewe mutton killings 1.95(5,05<; carcases, compared with (ill,12!) and 1,555,251 carcases respectively last season. Details ol' the lamb and mutton killings hi the North and the South Islands, with figures lor the previous season in parentheses are as follows: North Island Lamb 5,750,111 (5,751,77!)) Wether mutton (57 I, 13 1 ( 51.'}, 108) Ewe mutton 1.153.Kit ( 873,108) South Island Lamb 5,2(51.70(5 (5.39(5,331) Wether million 87,202 ( 07.721) Ewe mutton 803.705 ( (582,113) Frozen beef production is now 55559S quarters compared with (555.251 quarters last season. Porker killings total 201,0(53 carcase, a decrease of l(i,o2f>, whilst baconcrs total 222,(534 carcases, a decrease of Gfi,()lo.
