CAR REGISTRATION FIGURES

We have been informed by the Transport Department that the figures for car registrations this year vary little from those of last year. This is somewhat surprising in view of the uncertainty of the petrol supply and the growing likelihood! of Government and' Army requisition. On the other hand it is also an indication of the unhampered l spending power of the public, in spite of the growing burdens of tarxaition and the demands made by the Patriotic levy.
