Awaken Patriotic Dance Dance lovers are reminded of the Patriotic dance to be held in the .Awakeri Hall to-morrow evening. An attractive programme, lias been arranged and there is every indication of a first class night's entertainment eventuating. Arbor Day August sth The latest gazette fixes Arbor Day this year as August sth (next Wednesday fortnight). There is little indication of the event being marked in any great capacity in this district owing to more pressing responsibilities. Breach of Censorship A fine of £4 was inflicted by Mr A. M. Colliding, S.M., in Upper Ilult, on Jessie Morrison Jackson for a breach of the censorship regulations. He appreciated that defendant acted innocently, but the regulations must be obeyed, he said. The letter which defendant wrote contained the kind of information that should not be sent overseas as it might result in a major disaster.
