VANDALISM AT OHOPE

DOMAIN BOARD'S DECISION"

Repeated reports of deliberate vandalism practiced by irresponsible individual users of the dressing sheds at Ohope have decided the Domain Board to prosecute in future without warning. At the recent meeting of the board Mr F. Mahy reported that coat hanging metal pegs had been removed, door springs broken and the paintwork defaced. In some instances children had actually been caught using the sheds as a playhouse and climbing over the tops of the doors. Unless better protection Avcrc giA'cn the board's property Avould soon be damaged beyond repair. The board decided to instruct its caretaker, Mr R. McGowan, to take the names of all future offenders for the purpose of prosecuting without any further Avarning.
