TREES IN BOROUGH

GROWTH ON DOMAIN ROAD

The Deputy Mayor, at last meeting of the Borough Council mentioned the overhang of a number of trees in Domain Road which should he eut back in order to make for a greater margin of safety. He realised, he said, that any drastic action might hurt the acceptabilities of shrub and tree lovers, but il' the council were to proceed with the formation of the footpath many of the trees would have to bo removed in any case. Councillors agreed that action was necessary and the foreman was instructed to take the necessary steps to prime the trees back.
