NOW IN AUSSIE
FILM ACTOR JAMES STEWART U.S. ARMY AIR PILOT Cabled advice has been received to the effect that James Stewart the well known film actor has for the past three months been in Australia with the United States Army Air Corps. Jimmy was drafted into the army as a private at the time when Pre-t sident Roosevelt declared a state of National Emergency, immediately on entering he applied for a transfer to the Air Corps and now after several months training he is on active service, no doubt by now has participated in raids over Jap occupied territory. "Ziegfeld Girl" which commences a three day season at the Regent Theatre, Whakatane, was liis last motion picture. No doubt his fans will be out in full force to see his last appearance until after the war.
