J.C. Nesfield, Avas AA'O'ii by A. D. Rockell, avlio gave a display of dogged courage in the light-hcaA r y weight semi-final which he lost to A. J. R. Anderson, of liwercargill. In the final of this Aveight, Anderson had a narrow points Avin over K, Wright, in one of the best fights of the evening.

P. G. Hawes, of Ghristehurch, gave a good exhibition to win the featherweight final, being too experienced for O. H. Nicholas. He won on a t.k.o. in the third round. The veteran Clarrie Marshall, of Gisborne, met a game youngster, S. C. Evans, in the welterweight final, and did not come off unscathed. Evans fought back in the last round, after taking counts of eight and four in the second. Trophies Avere presented by Colonel G. J. McNaught. Results were:—■ Bantamweight: W. Jarv-is 8.5 beat G. A. Clark 8.4; Featherweight: P. G. Hawes 8.13 beat O. H. Nicholas 9.0; Lightweight: I. Hogg 9.9, beat A Keith by default; A. McG. White 9.8, beat J. M. Logan 9LB on a t.k.0.; Hogg beat White on a t.k.0.; Walterweight: S. C. Evans 10.0, beat R. Midglpy 10.0; C. Marshall 10.5, beat Evans; Middleweight: T. C'assidy 11.5, beat S. A. Clemens 11.7; A. Rogers 11.2 beat R. Fisher 11.2 on a t.k.o; Rogers beat Cassid3 r on a t.k.0.; light-heavy-weight: A. J. R. Anderson 12.4, beat A- D. Rockell 12.4; Anderson beat K. Wright 11.6; Heavyweight: H. Apps 13.5, beat T. Waaka 13.6; A. Vailima 13.4, of Tonga, beat Apps on a disqualification.
