EDGECUMBE INGLESIDE
CALEDONIAN SOCIETY'S VISIT A POPULAR EVENT j The new Edgecumbe Hall was well filled last Monday evening when the Whakatane Caledonian Society staged a further popular Goodwill Ingleside in that district. Members of the Pipe Band attended under Drum-Major MeKenzie, and supplied music for many of the dances., Music was supplied by Mrs Armstrong's orchestra and a lively programme of dances and items was put through in good time by M..CPiper Alf. Ferguson. Supper was provided and served by the Society's Social Committee after Avhich dancing continued till a late hour. Items Ave re furnished by Miss Kath Walton's pupils a most popular turn being the Highland Reel. Little Dawn Bowers was also warmly apDlauded for her exhibition of the Sword Dance.
