WEDDING

jamieson—Mcdonald Decorated in pale pink stock roses and flowers to tone, the Edgecumbe Presbyterian Church was the scene of a charming wedding on WelnesdajT, May 27, when Miss Marguerite McDonald, only daughter of Mrs M. T. Holt and the late Mr W. E. McDonald, of Wanganui, was married to Private James Harper Jamieson, elder son of Mr and Mrs: A., H. ( Jamieson, of Te Teko. The Rev. J. G. Laughton assisted by the Rev. J. H. Starnes, officiated and the wedding music was played by Sister Nessic Morgan. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her Great Uncle, Mr W. A. Todd, wore a graceful gown, of magnolia satin with lace yoke and sleeves. "Her embroidered veil being held in place with a coronet of orange blossom. A bouquet of chrysanthemums and shower begonia was carried. The bride was .attended by her cousin, Miss Margaret Mortensen. who wore a dainty frock of shell pink georgette, and a short veil caught in place with a wreath of begonia. She carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and begonia. The duties of best man were ably performed by Private Francis Graveson. The reception was later held at Bell's Hall, Edgecumbe, where the guests w r ere received by Mrs Holt; who wore a light blue costume and navy accessories and fur. She carried a posy in cyclamen toning. She was assisted by the bridegroom's mother who wore a nigger brown costume, with a lemon blouse and brown accessories and fur. The bridal couple after left from the home of Mr and Mrs G. E. McDonald of Onepu, where they were sped on their way with the good wishes of the assembled The bride travelled in a smart navy costume and navy accesories and wore a fur necklet the gift of the bridegroom.
