QUALITY IN PIGS
A BREEDER'S ADVICE MORE KIGID CULI.TNC; "The grout need now is the maintenance of type and quality, and this can only be achieved by using the best and most prolific breeding stock." stated a well-known breeder
to a press representative. His advice to all breeders was to cheek up on the methods employed and the results hitherto obtained. There should be more rigid culling of stock, housing should be overhauled. and steps taken to ensure that the animals were comfortably and warmly housed. Wherever the conditions permit, more of the food requirements should lie raised on the farm and the pigs graded into small lots so that all would receive an equal share of the daily ratioins.
