CHARGE OF ASSAULT
TANEATUA CASE MAORI FINED £5 A Maori Hawera Mokomoko appeared before Messrs Moody and 'Hayward, J.P.'s. at Taneatua on 10th inst. charged with assault. He pleaded guilty and after the circumstances were explained by the Constable Hawera was fined £5, the Justices warning him that if he came before them for a similar ofTencc he •■would be sent to gaol.
