The Whakatane County Council has additional to this sum, provided £100 in its current year's estimates for medical and hospital supplies. In certain districts funds have been collected for the purpose of paying for the medical kits which were supplied at cost by Dr. Appleby. In all districts where sucli collections have been made the funds collected should be expended on the purchase of materials to supplement the kits and hospital materials which have been purchased by this organisation.
