» Miss Rowena Stewart who for the past four years was a member of the staff cf the Whakatane , office of the Native Land Department, left last Friday for Gisborne to which town, she has been transferred. News has been received that the Rev. Keith Watson, Presbyterian chaplain with the forces, and formerly of Whakatane, Avho was taken prisoner in Libya on December 1, is safe and well. Letters written by him in December reveal that he was then in a transit camp at Tuturano, in, company with the Rev. H. A. ; Mitchell and Bishop Gerard, and that they were being well treated by the Italians.
