URGENTLY NEEDED

PUBLIC CONVENIENCES POSITION AT TANEATUA Crs McCready and McGougan joined forces at the last County Council meeting in pressing for the erection of a public convenience: at Taneatua. Both speakers claimed that such a; building was: long overdue and should be constructed without delay. Gr McCready said that the people in Taneiatua were 'sick' of the present position. Something would have to be done or else they should see that the law was carried out. Cr McGougan. said there was no doubt, but that the council should help in the matter which was certainly most undesirable at present. The council deputed the Works Committee to go into the matter and report. Cr McCready undertook to arrange for Taneatua businessmen to meet the committee and discuss the position.
