USE OF SHOTGUNS
NECESSITY TO FARMERS DESTROYING DISEASED STOCK The difficulties of getting ammunition for shotguns was discussed at last executive meeting of the Auckland Farmers Union. It was pointed out that some provision should be made, if possible, for cases such as destruction of sheep worrying dogs, injured or diseased stock, and vermin. It was suggested that the control of limited supplies for such purpose might be given to local Field Instructors of the Department of Agriculture, and it was decided to make this: a recommendation to the Government.
