THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE
What ho, what ho, ma hearties-. What about a dip in the briney. No thank you, not these mornings. At any rate I have something that not many of you have had lately— more and more mushrooms! Yes, the other morning when I went out to see my Cray fish pots, there I found a whole patch of them in a valley. I have had them, cooked in every conceivable manner since Fried, boiled, stewed ami they were delicious. If ever any of you come over my way I will treat you to a special feed. I expect you're not looking forward to school next weke, but remember we all had ta go through it and as I expect your mothers have told 3-011 already— school days arc the very happiest of your life. I wish I could have some of mine back; I remember putting a' frog in the master's hat and did I laugh when —that's enough of that at any rate. I was really quite well behaved as a boy, but sometimes I liked playing a joke. Chcorio till next week. Your old friend P.T.W.
