FRIDAY NIGHT CLOSING CANVASS OF RETAILERS In view of the poor attendance at the Retailers' meeting last Monday evening it was decided to make a special canvass of shopkeepers irthe near future to decide the question of 8.30 p.m. closing on Friday evenings in future. A special sub-committee was set up for the purpose and. members will be making their rounds within a day, or two. All retailers will b>asked to give a direct answer 'Yes' or 'No' to the proposal. The period suggested isi from the present time to the end of September.
