Warm congratulations were voiced at the meeting of the Patriotic Committee last Friday when the secretary, Mr C. G. Lucas, reported that Mr Tui Tawera had telephoned to state that the Ruatoki farmers had authorised the Native Department to pay their quota of £500 and recover such amount from dairy cheques in proportion to income. This money would be paid over about bonus time this year.
