Taneatua Cemetery Trustee Mr Frank Armstrong has been appointed to the trusteeship of the Taneatua cemetery in ]>lace of the late Mr T. Mitchell. Had 20 Bee. s When a Maori, Paaka llarere, appeared in tlie Wairoa Police Court charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a nuvtor car. to which lie pleaded guilty, it was st;.ied that he admitted having had 20 glasses of beer, tie tried to evade capture by forcing the pursuing car on to the side of the road. A traffic inspector and constable were concerned in the pursuit. Accused was sentenced to two months' gaol; he was prohibited l'rom obtaining a license for three years, and for driving without a license he was convicted and discharged.
