"BRITANNIA"
Britannia, the lady with trident and shield With lion and lighthouse on heraldry's field Of three glorious colours o'er all the world flown. The emblem of freedom, by all the world known Two thousand years distant, when Rome ruled the roe-st Britain's warrior Queen made no idle boast. When she prophesied Briton's, descendants would sway Realms unknown to Caesar in lands far away. Britannia for freedom has lost many sons The ocean flotrs strewn with her ships, .and her guns But her brav<# sailormen still sweep the seven seas 'Ready aye ready" for battle or breeze. Ne'er was conflict for freedom so loud or so strong But above it rc-echos Britainnia's old song Taken up by the heres who venture and dare To crown their Britannia "The Queen of the Air" Britannia triumphant o'er land, air and sea Will insure peace for free men, where-ere they may be Though under an all-wise but j chastening rod Britannia's sons cling to their faith and their God. H. SERGANT.
