AIR FORCE MAN HONOURED
Before a representative muster at the Borough Council Chambers last evening Observer Ralph France. R.N.Z.A.F., was presented by His Worship the Mayor witli the goodwill wallet on behalf of the citizens of Whakatane.
Mr Banw extended the good wishes of the townspeople generally and Avislied Observer Franee 'happy landings' and a safe return to New Zealand. A similar presentation to Sgt Observed J. L. Roberts was handed to his relatives, in his absence. Mrs W. Sullivan on behalf of the Red Cross made a further presentation . Responding Observer France expressed his apprecitaion and mentioned that he had been overwhelmed at the kindnesses shown him.
