YOUNG FARMERS' CLUB
MEETING AT W AIM AN A
The annual meeting of the Waimana Young Farmers' Club took place last week. Owing to the absence of the chairman, Mr D. Woolfield, the secretary, Mr B. Burnett, reviewed the year's activities after which he presented his report and balance sheet stating that the activities had been lessened by the war situation and as a consequence the figures showed the club to be in a good financial position. Four new members were welcomed. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as under:—Advisor}' President: Mr N. J. C. McDonald; Chairman: Mr R. White;, Secretary: Mr T. Doran; Treasurer: Mr Jl T. Cain; Auditor'. Mr A. K. Bell; Delegates: Mr R. White, Mr T. Doran and Mr H. C. White; Committee: Mr M. Mo ran, Mr K. Barrel, Mr D. S. Cain and Mr H. C. White; Reporter: Mr D. S. Cain. Before the close of the meeting M,r C. R. Murray, District Secretary Avho was in attendance, gave a short address on the position cf clubs going into recess and after a short discussion it was decided to encourage clubs to keep active by canvassing for new members to take the place of those who are serving with the forces.
