ENGINEER'S REPORT
BOROUGH ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
Reporting to the Borough Council last Monday the Electrical Engineer, Mr F. W. Lysaght, stated as under:—Service Lines Maintenance: A number of service lines in the town area have been given attention, and new fuses fitted and cable replaced where necesarv. Service Lines: One new 3 phase service line was erected in Russell Street to supply lighting, range and hotwater cylinder. New Installations: The following new installations have been inspected and connected to the supply also a number cf alterations and additions: Ranges 4, hotwater cylinders 5, mottors 1, lighting and heating 3. Water Works Department: The alterations to the pumphouse building have now been completed by the contractor. Plant alterations are now in hand so that the necessary room is available for the new switch gear etc. The pumping plants have been in service every day during the mcinth and a new set of sleeves fitted to replace the worn ones. Sump Pump: Prices haA*e been obtained from; several local firms, for the necessary sump pump for handling water in flooding periods. Provision has been made in the floor of the pumphouse to accommodate, this equipment. I would like the council to decide on which plant is to be purchased so that it may be installed before the wet period, sets in.
