Maori's in E.P.S. ? The obligation on Maoris between 18 and 66 years to enrol in the E.P.S. if not in one of the exempted classes was emphasised by Mr P. K. Paikea. member of the Executive Council representing the Maori race, in a recent address. Mr Paikea said that Maoris who had enrolled in the E.P.S. would not be transferred to Home Guard units without their consent. He gave' an assurance on behalf of the Government that anyone enrolling in the E.P.S. would not be required to serve outside his own settlement or locality. MRS E.
