AN OPEN SHOOTING SEASON Sir, —One sees with surprise the intention of the Minister of Internal Affairs to allow the wastage of ammunition for sport in Rotcrua this coming season. This cannot be any encouragement to the men of the Home Guard who have handed in their dearly prized guns, and! spent their leisure time training to defend their women folk. One would be ashamed to mention this fact if writing overseas, or to our lads ill territorial camp. One wonders how many shooting parties from Wellington hfive marked out their possies in the district. Yours etc., TE, TEKO.
