CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
Sir,—Now the time has come for the married men, with families, tobe drawn in the ballot, we wish, to know what the public of Whakatane is going to do about the above military objectors. It is apparent that these Dandelions (pretty, but yellow) are still enjoying life to the full without making any sacrifice and are allowed to carry on making profits while others are taken into the Army to make this country safe for such as they. I!s this state of affairs toi be allowed to continue? , It is not enough to say that they will be locked up in due course. As it appears to every right thinking citizen, they should not be allowed to enjoy any extended period of civil rights beyond the time they were originally supposed to enter camp. Wives, sisters, parents and girl friends of those already doing "their bit, it is up to you to see that this state of affairs exists no longer. Yours etc., NEXT BALLOT.
