Minah Seen in Opotiki Borough

The bird known as the minah, •which is very common in the Gisborne, Hawke's Bay and -some other parts of the North Island, has apparently made its way to the Bay of Plenty, as one of these birds has been noticed in the Opotiki borough. Some of the minahs may be in other parts of the district, but the one mentioned is the first to be reported to the Opotiki News. The rfiinali is conspicuous by its brown plumage, with several white feathers on the wings. The birds arc very noisy, particularly in the earjy mornings.
