SUCCESSFUL CATTLE FAIR PRICES AT OPOTIKI Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. ret port having held their annual Aut< umn Cattle Fair at Opotiki on the i()th March. 1i)42. Tlie fully advertised numbers of cattle came forward and was the largest offering; of station-bred cattle offered by public auction in this district for many years, the quality was of a considerably higher standard than at previous sales—killing steers predominated. There was an average attendance of buyers, coming from as far ; as Waikato, Rotorua and Te Puke districts. Competition was exceedingly keen for all classes of good quality steers which sold at advance on lale' rates. Fat and female cattle sold under steady competition ati late rates.
