AGRICULTURE IN ENGLAND
The British Minister of Agriculture lias made a forecast that next year Britain will have more land under the plough than ever before in her history. Since the war began nearly 4,000.000 acres of grassland have been ploughed up, and that total, added to the arable land that was in use in 1989, brings the total arable acreage to approximately 12,000,000.
