COMPULSION URGED

ATTENDANCE AT E.P.S

'COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATION

The local E.P.S. Committee has decided to write the Minisetr of National Service 1 , urging l that regulations be introduced to make attendance at meetings and rehearsals compulsory. In support of this contention it was pointed out that there were instances in Whakatane where no persons turned up to fulfill a practice, and that the convenors had no power to force them to do so. # The position was becoming a farce unless some measure of compulsion was employed.
