LAND BOARD ELECTION 9

Five nominations to fill a vacancy on the Auckland Land Board, made vacant by the election to Parliment of a member, Mr A. S. Sutherland, have been received. They are: Messrs Charles Harris Burnett, Henry Thomas Head, Cyril Douglas Hobern, William Moore and Charles Walter Parfitt. An election will be held on May 6. Mr W. Moore, of Thornton, is the local candidate. It is interesting to note that it is twelve years since this district hiad' representation on the Board, Mr B. Sladden, of Taneatua, then holding a seat.
