Then there is. the small farmer who either appeals for himself or his son, whereas he should be fighting for his land and not expecting others to fight for it while they stop at home safe and have a good time. I wonder Sir what would happen if when my sons return home (if ever they do) and they were to ask seme of these farmers I know for i bit of land that they have fought for. T for one think it is high time someone took the matter up and saw that the Monpower Committee reviewed all these past appeals. Yours etc., MOTHER OF 6 SONS.
Sir, —It was good education-- to mothers of sons serving their country to rcead "Guardman's" letter re the above as that is: what they certainly are 'dodgers' from the patriotic point of view. Well Sii% it makes a mother with three sons serving their country think when she goes to town and sees these fit single men still strolling the 1 streets and having a good time, while others are fighting to defend their country. I often wonder Sir if the Manpower Board knows and understands the Govern-, ment agreement for sharemflkers, when they listen to these appeals and of farmers and grants them# The cry is that his son is all he's got and he can't be dene without.
