ONE HORSE-POWER CAR
NOVEL MEANS OF CHURCH GOING Many people find it impossible to attend Church —because ol petrol restrictions. One minister takes four services per Sunday and travels between <>0 and 70 miles ,to make up for the petrol shortage of his people. One wonders —is it as bad as all thai? risks the Methodist Times. Most country people get an allowance of petrol—less than a gallon per month woud take them to the Church on Sunday. Can it not be managed? One superintendent minister, with a wide experience, says that in a country part of his circuit, one family solved the problem because they really want to attend Church. This family has a motor car, but no petrol is allowed to them. They have, however, recovered an old kind of power. The family has attached n swingle tree to the car, and they hitch on the horse —and at least-five of them get to Church. You see! they want to go, and they get there! ft is wonderful what can be done when you Avant to do it. There is i lie lesson and the example for all of us.
