FIT AND WELL
WAR PRISONERS IN GERMANY
LOCAL BOY'S LETTER Writing to his parents, Mr and Mrs J. Hanwright of Thornton, Pte W. F. Hanwright, who is a prisoner of war in Stailag XVIII in Germany, declares that most of the boys with him are in good health. Food is good, but there is a great shortage of tobacco. Though they work ten hours per day, recreation is allowed all ranks and this isi spent mainly in card playing and informal amusements. Above all else letters from home are most welcome.
