BIRTHDAY PARTY

_ DUAL GATHERING HELD POPULAR GUESTS HONOURED Seventy friends of Miss Lois Lux- A ton and Mr W. Rivett, Avho. celebrated their eighteenth birthday together gathered in the Parish Hall last Tuesday evening to do them honour. A happy programme of games, competitions and dancing occupied the major part, of the evening, the pianists being Miss Jean Grover and Mr P. Smythe, while 'Mr Clark ao companied on the violin. From beginning to end there were no dull moments all present joining in wholeheartedly with the fun. Prior to a very dainty supper, tastefully arranged and served, the guests Avere ushered to the stage where they proceeded to unAvrap their presents, to the amusement of the onlookers. After receiving the best wishes of the gathering and musical honours both Miss Luxton and Mr Rivett replied expressing their appreciation and thanks. Following the cutting of the 1 beautifully iced birthday cake, the dancing and games continued till '- when the gathering broke up Avith* the singing of Auld Sang Syne.
